This bald eagle portrait was painted as a donation for the Walton Foundation's fund raiser to benefit sending children with traumatic brain injuries to camp. The background was done with watercolor crystals and the eagle painted in acrylic. I hope the silent auction buyer is pleased and with thanks for helping in such an important endeavor for children.
Born in Missouri and living throughout the US, Mary McCullah has worked closely with zoos and nature preserves giving conservation related programs and doing hands-on work with animals including gray wolves and birds of prey. These experiences have provided valuable inspiration for her art work. The award winning artist paints primarily in acrylic and watercolor concentrating mostly on nature and wildlife as subject matter. Mary is attracted by the fluid movement of watercolor and the versatility of acrylic. She works from her own reference photographs, often combining several photos.
