This snow leopard is painted in acrylic on canvas from artist's own reference. This beautiful big cat is reclusive and vulnerable to loss of habitat and poaching. Shown here on a high ledge, the snow leopard often uses its long, fluffy tail to help stay warm. It is also a great "leaper". The painting is framed in dark brown with gold accent making outside dimensions 23w x 20h inches.

Born in Missouri and living throughout the US, Mary McCullah has worked closely with zoos and nature preserves giving conservation related programs and doing hands-on work with animals including gray wolves and birds of prey. These experiences have provided valuable inspiration for her art work. The award winning artist paints primarily in acrylic and watercolor concentrating mostly on nature and wildlife as subject matter. Mary is attracted by the fluid movement of watercolor and the versatility of acrylic. She works from her own reference photographs, often combining several photos.
